Requests for major installations on the Edmund J. Safra and Mount Scopus Campuses are presented to the installation unit's director, and on the Rehovot and Ein Kerem Campuses to the operation and maintenance directors. Requests for minor installations are presented to the Operation Center of the relevant campus. During 2006, Abat performed approximately 2,100 minor installations and 190 major ones. Each installation is actually a project comprised of different kinds of work: construction, electricity, air-conditioning, plumbing, computer communications, furniture, etc. . Customer MABAT MABAT Examples Installation of air-conditioning units, partitions, furniture and other carpentry, special lighting, electrical and communication installations Fixing of blocked sewage, water leaks, electrical repairs and broken windows. Sealing of roofs, administration of machine rooms, visual checkups of equipment, control panels, pumps, emergency lighting, classrooms, and lavatories.         Each installation has several stages: Submission of a request form by the ordering department. Formulation of a work plan. Preparation of a preliminary estimate by the installation coordinator and its approval      by the ordering department. Preparation of plans and specifications. Implementation of the installation by Abat units or contractors in coordination with      the ordering department and under the supervision of the installation coordinator. Delivery of the job to the ordering party.
